Janne Bergmark: Nog med (blodbad)
Nog med (blodbad) is a large outdoors light art piece. The work represents three blood red drops in air.
Nog med (blodbad) was created as a site-specific piece for Svartå Manor's park. The name and the shape of the piece relates to the manor's history during the Finnish Civil War, as well as to contemporary wars. The name of the art piece is in Swedish, and it means "enough with the bloodbath". The approximately 6 meter-high piece can be seen from afar.
The working process included finding ready-made, weatherproof material which would create an interesting shape and tell a story. Minimalism and ready-made materials are characteristic for Janne Bergmark’s light art.
Master of Arts, b. 1978, lives in Finland.
