Jere Suontausta: On Thin Ice
A sculpture or diorama, LED and found objects.
On Thin Ice is a selection of casual-but-curious found objects and materials assembled into a minimal diorama. The cold white LED light source suggests characteristics of a Fresnel lens, presented in a situation leading into multiple possible stories in the imminent near future. The dramatic potential is further underlined by the dynamic shadow echoing the broken and imperfect surfaces of the artwork.
