KOKIMO: Conserved Light
Conserved Light is a variation of an installation that is part of the KOKIMO’s piece Series of Spaces (2011)
Artist group KOKIMO's Conserved Light (2018) is a light work inspired by luminous memories. The memories are verbalized in a light installation, a small illuminated basement niche of memories.
With this installation KOKIMO strives to make your mouth and mind water – what does light taste like? Can you conserve memories of light? Can a poetic, conserved verse evoke a memory of light?
KOKIMO is a group of artists, founded in 2010 and it’s based in Helsinki, Finland.

Dimensions of the work:
Depending on the site. Minimum 30 x 40 x 10 cm (width x height x depth). Work includes small print labels, that are observed from a close distance.
Spaces suitable for exhibiting the work:
Can be presented in various environments: outdoors, cold space (eg. a shed, a silo etc.), semi-heated space, heated space.

Humidity, sunlight, outdoors
Requirements for the space:
No specific requirements for space. Must be confirmed in advance with KOKIMO.

No specific requirements for colouring.

Support and other structures:
Depending on the site. The piece is site specific, and has been set up on an exising window sill, as well as on a custom built shelf and on a shelf built from objects found on site. Must be confirmed in advance with KOKIMO.
Required technology:
Depending on the site. If not presented in daylight, the piece must be illuminated so that the labels in the glass jars can be read. Details of the lighting must be confirmed in advance with KOKIMO.
Sound:
No sound. The acoustic sound of a typewriter, if being a part of the installation.
