RAMBOLL VALOSTUDIO: H2.0 light & sound artwork
H2.0 is site specific light and sound installation on a facade, 2019
Water was chosen as the theme of the H2.0 work because it is one of the basic conditions of life and key factors of development. All life on Earth depends on water, it is essential for people, animals and ecosystems. In many areas, water consumption has greatly exceeded what the natural cycle of water is able to produce back. Plastic and other synthetic materials cause significant damage to different species and ecosystems in the oceans. With the work, we wanted to draw people's attention to the fact that water is a depleting natural resource and that clean water is not a given.
Finlandia-talo, designed by architect Alvar Aalto, inspired the flowing state of the work: the visual material of the H2.0 light and sound work consists of water associations and movement. The soundscape supports the theme of the work and creates a rhythm for the light that reflects the condition of the water.
Since 2017, located in Espoo, Finland
