Vilma Vantola: Clairvoyant

A glimpse of the Earth in miniature size.

Clairvoyant – the one that sees clearly. It is said that you can see the future from the crystal ball. However, sometimes the future and reality do not appear clear, but seem to be covered by a veil of secrets. The work invites the viewer to look at a world that corresponds to reality without distractions: the cycle of oxygen and carbon dioxide on Earth is presented in a miniature size. The work aims to illustrate to the viewer the requirements of our bare existence and its scale in relation to the surrounding reality, our earth. Light in darkness is the beautiful beginning and the frightening end of everything.
